I want to acknowledge that seeking help can be a really difficult thing to do and I honour your commitment in taking this first step. I am Melinda Brown, a devoted dog mum, a wanderlust traveler and a compassionate counsellor. I have a gentle, compassionate approach towards my clients and some of my core values are honesty, transparency and integrity.
Counselling sessions with me can result in increased self-awareness, strengthened communication, deeper intimacy, increased feelings of hope, healing from trauma, ways to cope with grief and loss, more solidified personal boundaries, better sleep and a quieter mind. The more you put in, the more you get out. As a qualified and registered counsellor with The Australian Counselling Association, I commit to joining empathically with you in your current struggles and assist you in reaching your goals in life.
As a past volunteer at Lives Lived Well Mirikai, I combine my personal lived experience with evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness Therapy, Strengths-Based Counselling, Solution Focused Therapy and other tailored resources and tools relevant to your current needs.
