Occupational Therapist

Corey has a warm and calming nature, striving to make others feel comfortable in his presence. He combines this with over a decade of experience as a Mental Health Accredited Occupational Therapist, providing clinical care in mental health settings. This includes hospital, community, private practice, military, disability, insurance and return to work settings.

Being a member of the CALD community (Vietnamese ethnicity with language capability), and identifying as a gay male within the LGBTIQ+ community, he is welcoming of clients from all backgrounds, demographics, and takes a non-judgemental approach. Corey prides himself on adapting his approach to suit each individual client, and draws on evidence based psychotherapy approaches including Emotion Focussed Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, among a range of others.

Corey specialises in working with individuals and couples through any barriers impacting on their lives including: drug and alcohol abuse; Anxiety and Depression; life situation changes; workplace stress; anger management; sexuality; abuse; grief and loss.

    Payment is required at the time of your appointment. You can pay using credit/debit, and electronic transfer (via EFTPOS). We are a mixed payment practice: practitioners charge for their services, however some also offer bulk-billed services for concession card holders.     We can help to determine your eligibility for government programs such as the Better Access initiative, or Psychological Services Program (formerly known as ATAPs), which enables people to receive medicare rebates for a certain number of sessions with a mental health professional.
